Very few people can live in isolation. We generally do better when we have people around to talk to, share stories with, and support us. I feel this is especially true when it comes to faith and religion. Here, I will attempt to share my thoughts and reflect on my spiritual journey -- I know this will further strengthen my faith, and I hope this will positively influence yours as well.  - CradleCatholic2.0

Our Lady of Fatima

Have you ever wondered what you would do if Mother Mary suddenly appeared to you? How would you react? What kinds of thoughts would flood your mind? Would you be happy, nervous, or scared?

Ten years ago, my family and I traveled to Fatima in Portugal, a popular pilgrimage site. This is where our Blessed Mother appeared to three children on six different occasions, each time on the 13th of the month from May to October in 1917. Our Lady’s message to the children was simple: to say the rosary every day in order to bring peace to the world and an end to the war. The children were overcome with joy and excitement, and they obediently followed Our Lady’s requests. After learning the story, I realized what a huge honor it would be to see and have a conversation with Mother Mary!

To celebrate the 100th anniversary of Fatima, Pope Francis has decided to grant a plenary indulgence opportunity, which frees us from punishment for our sins. To find out more about how to obtain a plenary indulgence, visit http://www.marian.org/fatima/about/indulgence.php
